Power Plate is the original premium brand. The technology was developed in the 1990s for cosmonaut bone-loss prevention; the consumer market followed. Decades of clinical use in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and elite-sports settings have produced the deepest published research base for any single vibration-plate brand.
The MOVE is Power Plate’s entry consumer model. We tested it for 21 days against the Bluefin 4D Triple Motor and the LifePro Rumblex Max 4D — its closest UK rivals at one-third the price. The verdict requires honesty in both directions.

The MOVE earns 4.6/5 — excellent in absolute terms, ambivalent against the alternatives. Build quality is the best in our entire test. Motor refinement is audibly smoother than every rival we tested. Frequency accuracy is exceptional. The clinical research base behind Power Plate is genuinely deeper than any consumer-tier brand. And at £1,500, the additional value over a £319 plate is real but small in practical home use. We’d buy a MOVE for a clinic. We would not buy one for ourselves.
What you actually get for the money
The MOVE ships with the plate, a wireless remote, three vibration cables, and access to Power Plate’s app and online training resources. The plate itself measures 70 × 60 cm with the platform rising 18 cm above floor level. 35 kg of plate weight; commercial-grade stability.
The unboxing experience is a meaningful step above any other plate we tested. Build quality is visible everywhere — solid metal construction, no plastic flex, every fixing properly torqued.
How it tested over 21 days
Frequency accuracy
The MOVE displays Hz directly. Measured frequency matched the panel reading to within 0.2 Hz across the full 30–40 Hz range. This is the most accurate plate we have ever tested.
Motor sustainability
We ran five 20-minute sessions back-to-back. Motor temperature rose only to 38 °C. No detectable amplitude drift across the test window. The motor is operating well within its rated capacity — relevant for users planning multi-decade ownership.
Noise floor
50 dB at 1 metre on hardwood. Quietest plate in our entire test database. The motor refinement that produces this also produces the smoothest subjective vibration — testers consistently rated MOVE sessions as more comfortable than rival plates at equivalent settings.
